Cafeteria News: You Can Insure that Your Child Eats a Healthy Meal

New Debit System Using Student IDs Insures that Student Lunch Money is Spent on Lunch

Do you ever wonder if your child is eating breakfast or lunch or spending their money on the way to school? We offer a service for you to prepay for your child's breakfast or lunch. With this new system, you can be sure that he or she is eating. Our new system will be used to track and report information required by the National School Lunch Program. We can also give you a printout of exactly what your child is purchasing for breakfast and lunch.

Students pay for lunch using their student ID card, so please encourage them to have it with them at all times. It will work like a debit card. Parents or Guardians prepay a dollar amount which the student can then access to buy breakfast or lunch by using their ID card. The amount of prepayment is entirely up to you; it can range from one day to a month, even a year. If a student's account runs low, a staff member will remind them. If a student forgets his or her money, it will allow a negative balance up to one meal or $2.00. Money in the student's account at the end of the year will be carried over to the next school year.

Our cafeteria is proud to inform you that we offer three different choices each day: our main meal, salad & soup, or sandwich and soup.

NOTE: Students must use automated payment system at high school cafeteria beginning April 1, 2006.
