New Elementary School Principal Selected
NBES March 2008 The North Brookfield School District is proud to name Mrs. Deborah Peterson as the new Principal of the North Brookfield Elementary School. Mrs. Peterson was selected as a result of an extensive search and interview process. She brings experience and enthusiasm which will benefit the students, staff, parents, and community of North Brookfield! Mrs. Peterson comes to us from Winchendon MA where she is currently an elementary principal. We would like to extend a warm, “Thank You” to those of you who were able to assist in the decision by attending our open house forums and providing us with feedback. We are looking forward to an exciting future with Mrs. Peterson as the Principal of North Brookfield Elementary School.

School Reach Automated Phone Notification System is Operational
Dear Families,
As you all know, we have been working to implement our School Reach automated phoning system. So far, we have received very positive feedback from people. We believe we have worked out the few bugs and are now prepared to use the system on a more regular basis. As a result of the recent weather, we have already used it quite a bit!
We wanted to inform you that the School Reach information we send uses the primary phone number listed for each student. This is the number that is in our student data base, and information we collect from students at the beginning of the year. If there is a different number that you would like us to use, we ask that you contact us with the student's name, grade and the school reach phone number you want us to use. You may mail us this information, or you may send this information electronically to LRyel@nbschools.org . We will be using the automated calling for school delays and cancellations, early dismissals, school reminders, and notices of special occurrences. For school delays, early releases and cancellations we urge you to continue to check the local media, as we can never be sure that there won't be a problem with the phone system. As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Erin M. Nosek
Superintendent
