Mission
and Expectations for Student Learning |
|
The collective goal of the North Brookfield Junior-Senior High School is to instill in students the knowledge and decision-making skills necessary to thrive in a post graduate world. We recognize that our primary goal cannot be achieved unless we provide a safe and secure learning environment. The school has long taken advantage of its small size to extend individual attention to its students. Content and methods are adjusted to promote confidence as well as competence. Further we recognize and accommodate the characteristic differences in cognitive and emotional development between the junior and senior high school populations. Faculty, administration, students, parents and community share the obligation to reinforce such traditional values as honesty, self-discipline, acceptance of responsibility and respect for self and others. The school must be proactive in its endeavors to promote that collaboration. It is our mission, as a school and community to develop students who will be active participants in their education, who will have the desire to become life-long learners, and who will be fully prepared to contribute as informed citizens in our society. |
